The apartment seismic strengthening upgrade involved the drilling and installation of a series of piles and columns to a basement level and the installation and fixing of new steel members to existing staircases with grouting work.

After a structural investigation on the building by the engineer, a series of concerned areas were identified in the block and an immediate action plan taken to prevent further deterioration of the existing structures. The Corbel project team were appointed to undertake the repair work on the identified areas.

Considering the complexity of the project, very tight access and the fact that the building was fully occupied for the duration of the construction works, the Corbel team managed to complete the project successfully on time and within budget, producing a great outcome for the customer.
